Vegan and gluten-free this Dark Chocolate Salted Popcorn is not too sweet and has a touch of saltiness.
It is also super easy to make, so there is no excuse to go out and buy the unhealthy processed stuff. While I used Trader Joe’s vegan, gluten-free chocolate, you can use your favorite brand. However, make sure it melts well. One of he major reasons I like this chocolate, besides the taste, is that it melts really well in the microwave.
Dark Chocolate Salted Popcorn

6 cups air-popped popcorn
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 bar, 3.5 ounce Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Swiss 72 percent cacao
Put the popcorn in a bowl large enough where it will be easy to mix it.
Line a large cookie sheet with waxed paper and set aside.
In a glass bowl or measuring cup, break up the chocolate into small pieces. Microwave in 25 second increments, stirring in between until melted.
Stir in the salt, and then pour the chocolate and salt mixture over the popcorn. Using a spoon gently mix the popcorn and chocolate until mostly coated.
Spread the popcorn out on the cookie sheet and let sit at least an hour until the chocolate is fully hardened. Enjoy!
