I had the pleasure of hosting my sorority’s alumnae chapter’s holiday party on Saturday. Since I love entertaining, I was pretty excited about it!
It was a 2 p.m. event so I wanted food that would be a combination of appetizers, finger food and also something that would be substantial.
The menu included:
Salami and cream cheese bites
Mozzarella, tomato and basil skewers
Tomato and basil skewers
Mozzarella and basil skewers
Hummus (olive and roasted red pepper) with fresh vegetables
Green olive tapenade
Cucumber, tomato and dill salad
Strawberry and banana skewers drizzled with vegan chocolate
Vegan Oreo cupcakes
Trader Joe’s peppermint macaroons
Fresh brewed ice tea
The group had meat eaters, vegetarian and vegans, so you will notice there was something for everyone. So many people tell me how hard it is to prepare food that will please all three, but it’s really not that difficult of you plan a little ahead.
