Unfortunately, I can’t take the credit for the catchy title above — that’s how my friend Vikki described the “kinda” breakfast we ate at Gambles Bakery in Queensbury yesterday.
I say “kinda” because we went in there to pick up danishes and crumb buns for breakfast (I swear that’s the only reason she comes to see me), and ended up ordering breakfast *after* we ate the sweet, buttery baked goods.
Les ordered the day’s special — a hash and egg omelet, while Vikki and I split toasty, homemade raisin bread and an English muffin.
The raisin bread was crispy, airy and light, while the English muffin was toasty and dense with a slight sourdough taste. The raisin bread would make a really delicious French toast.
Definitely worth a stop.
