A rush of flowers and hearts will be everywhere you look for the next several days as people scramble to find the perfect Valentine’s Day gifts, cards and plans. Truth be told, I’m not a big fan of the holiday, because it’s way too commercialized — and very overpriced.
Before I get a bunch of comments, I’ve always felt this way, and it’s not just because I’m single. I would rather my boyfriend plan a romantic dinner or give me flowers on Feb. 24 than Feb. 14, when the world is telling him. It’s much more meaningful.
That said, my perfect Valentine’s Day would be enjoyed with a simple, well-cooked meal, champagne, wine and a tasty dessert. I’ve compiled some recipes that would make good Valentine’s Day dinners and desserts that I hope will help you create your own menu.
1st course:
Fresh Mozzarella and Tomato Salad
Cherry Tomato Salad with Fresh Parmesan
2nd course
Wine Soaked Veggies with Wild Rice
3rd course
Happy Valentine’s Day Cupcakes
Strawberry Cream Cheese Frosted Red Velvet Cupcakes
Love Tomato & Mozzarella, especially with a little balsamic. Great menu!
I feel the same way about Valentine's day and I have a boyfriend. We don't go out on valentines day's. We prefer to go out another day then when restaurants are overcharging or you have to wait 1 or 2 hours to be seated only to have the food taste bad because they're doing everything in a hurry.
Oh wow, that looks awesome!
These look gorgeous, I think il go for the desserts this time 🙂
Very nice!
Sounds delicious!!! Can't wait to try it!!
Thanks a lot for sharing.
