Yes, these delicious appetizers at the Adirondack Pub and Brewery in Lake George are absolutely getting their own post. Why? Because, they are that good!
They’re not what you would call a new menu item, but for some reason I had never ordered them until this past Saturday. And then, I brought some friends back the next night who wanted to try them, too because they saw a photo on our Facebook page.
Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, these will make even those who typically turn their nose at eggplant devour them. The breading is light — similar to a egg batter — and not the typically, heavy breading you usually find on fried vegetables or appetizers like mozzarella sticks.
They drizzle reduced balsamic vinaigrette over the fries, which are topped with shaved Parmesan slices and parsley. The eggplant sticks are served with a basic tomato sauce, which complements the eggplant allowing their flavor to not get drowned in sauce.
Although they are listed on the menu as an appetizer, you bet I’ll be ordering these for a vegetarian dinner some time soon.
If you go:
– They are only available on the dinner menu.
– Drink it with a Chaitiemac Black Lager.
– Take home the leftovers! I reheated them in a 350 degree oven for a few minutes and they tasted great. Just be careful not to burn them, because they cook quick.
These sound delicious, my mouths watering at the thought of them!!
These sound great!
