I first learned of Havana Central several years ago when I was working for Fox News. We went there several times for happy hour, but I hadn’t been back in at least two years until yesterday.
We went there because they have a fabulous happy hour: $6 mojitos, $7 sangrias, $6 margaritas, $4 beers and $5 house wine, Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Yes, that’s still a little expensive, but it’s New York City, and more importantly it’s Time Square. Those are the prices.
But, the thing that makes this Havana Central different when it comes to their drinks, is that at least in my experience, they’re always made very well and taste perfect. Mojitos come in a variety of tropical flavors listed on one of three chalk vertical chalk boards high above the bar. {The other two list their appetizer samples and beer selection.}
I always order their sangria, because it’s not too sweet, they go down very easy, and they quickly wash away the work-place stress. {I could do without the stirrer}
Hi Michelle,
Thank you for the review of Havana Central! We are happy you made it back to enjoy some sangria after being away for a while. We'd love to see you back in for Happy Hour again soon!
Kind Regards,
Havana Central Restaurant
Thanks for the comment! You have a very nice establishment, and really great sangria!
Lol…definitely could do without the stirrer. It sounds like a really great place and Mojitos are my favorite!!
Hi Michelle,
Actually, for Time Square, the happy hour drink prices sound great! My husband and I are looking to travel to New York this year (I've never been!) and Havana Central is now added to our list. Excellent post! I followed you here via the Weekend Gathering Hop and really look forward to checking out your future posts!
Best,
Intricate Knot
Thanks, Intricate Knot!
You will love it! I hear from a friend the food is fab, too.
