Friday was such a long, crazy and not-so-fun day. So, when it came to dinner, I was ready for some comfort food — and, I mean full out comfort food. Mac n’ cheese to be exact. I didn’t even use gluten-free pasta.
Ever since I made homemade macaroni and cheese for the first time last year (unbelievable, right? ) the boxed stuff doesn’t taste right. Plus, it’s a once-in-a-long-while treat so why not have the good stuff?
This one is from the Food Network‘s website and is a recipe by Emeril Lagasse called, appropriately, Em’s Mac n’ Cheese. It’s creamy with a hint of sharpness and is so easy to make — basically everything you want in a classic macaroni and cheese dish.
To balance out all the richness, I did make this:
Today, it’s time to make cookies! I’ve been trying to make them to ship out for weeks, but I finally have a free day and I’ll be spending it making both human and dog treats. I’ll likely be sending out some Touts of the cookie adventure, so make sure to follow me over there!
