There were so many great items at the Summer NASFT Fancy Food Show in New York City that we sampled and want to write about that we need to break up our coverage of the show into several posts. Plus, we were given some amazing samples we want to try and then write about. So, expect to see a lot of mentions about the show in the coming weeks.
This was my first show, and I brought a guest meat eater with me since I’m a vegetarian and wanted to fully be able to cover the show. We sampled everything from Tempus Alba, an Argentinian wine that is not available in the states yet, Chef Macee’s concentrated herbal oil spray that tastes like it’s fresh-from-the-garden, great dips from the Saratoga Specialties Company and Elixir, a line of natural floral infusions for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Those were four of our favorites, but there were many, many more we will be writing about, and using in our upcoming recipes. We also photographed many of the elaborate displays and will be posting those pictures very soon. But, for now, here are some really cute chocolates we snapped a photo of. Of course I couldn’t bring myself to eat it, because they were ducks.
