As many of you know, I am always on the lookout for unique, local businesses and one of my favorites is the Adirondack Winery in Lake George. So, it was awesome news to learn three of their wines recently won awards at the 2010 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition!
Their Cabernet Franc took a Silver Medal at the competition, while their Rocky Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc both took home Bronze Medals — bringing the number of their wines to win awards to 10. It’s a nice present for owners Sasha and Michael Pardy, who will be celebrating their winery’s second anniversary this month.
Ironically, the first time I wrote about the Adirondack Winery in September, I picked their Cabernet Franc as one of my favorites! Hmm … new profession – wine judge? 😉
A winery was exactly what the area needed and the Adirondack Winery’s location on Canada Street makes it a perfect spot. Their tasting room is always a must-stop when I’m entertaining guests in the Adirondacks. In fact,I was just there this past Saturday with an “ADK Newbie,” who also fell in love with their vast selection of wines and their excellent customer service!
