Lake George Winter Carnival

Since 1961 the Lake George Winter Carnival has been held on the southern basin in the Village of Lake George. The month-long (yes, month-long) event takes place every weekend and features just about everything you could think of: diving exhibitions, ATV rides, snowmobile rides, skydivers, helicopter rides and so much more!

It was my first time to the event in more than 20 years and it was a blast! I even took one of the helicopter rides (more on that in another post!) You can walk out as far as you want on the lake, which is really awesome and scary at the same time.

One really great thing about this event — it was super dog friendly. Seriously, I’ve never seen so many dogs at a Lake George activity. Needless to say, my puppy was very happy he had tons of four-legged friends to play with!

Enjoy some photos! (If you click on them, they get larger)
