Mr. Brown’s Pub at The Sagamore

Another one of my favorite places to go in the Adirondacks is The Sagamore – a beautiful island resort that literally has everything you could want in a Lake George vacation. (more on that in a future blog)

Luckily, The Sagamore opens its doors to non-resort guests, so they can appreciate the amazing views, gourmet food and relaxing atmosphere.

There are six dining options, and I recently had lunch at Mr. Brown’s Pub – a traditional Adirondack-style restaurant that provides excellent food for a good price.

Mr. Brown’s Pub is a tribute to the first general manager of The Sagamore, Myron O. Brown, a native of Bolton, according to their Web site.

The menu at Mr. Brown’s Pub includes everything from a sunburst fruit plate and warm gorgonzola steak salad to a pulled pork sandwich and classic Maine lobster roll.

It’s a great place to grab a quick bite to eat or a local brew after a morning round of golf. The staff was friendly, and my “Caprese” Wrap was excellent – exactly what you want in a pub.
